Ego

They say ego ruins everything. Which is true. Especially when you're in a messed up situation.

Ego will never solve anything. Escalate problems further -yes, definitely. I've been putting my pride and ego on the low for some time now.

It really opened up my dull, almost blind eyes.

Things get solved easily and faster when ego or pride aren't in the picture. You want answers, and you give answers. No mind games, no wasting of time.

Sadly, it's not a common thought.
