Finding The Way Back

A soul-searching point in life, maybe known, maybe unknown to some or many. I've lost tracked of most of my visions in life, at some point. The kind of lost whereby no matter how much effort you put in to try and get back to the starting point, you're still lost. No lights, no pathways, nothing. Just another string of unfamiliar paths to tread on forward.

That was when I saw a video by Brené Brown on shame, guilt and vulnerability. Something she said strucked a chord in me.

"If we're going to find our way back to each other,
vulnerability is going to be that path."

It doesn't matter who, or what or where that you're trying to find your way back to. Vulnerability is what you'll have to offer or sacrifice, whichever way seems more appropriate to you.

In the first place, who'd freely want to be vulnerable? Human, as we know it, have the "fight or flight" tendencies. Not the "stay and watch myself being brutally massacred" instincts. Well, unless you're something else.

Yet, vulnerability itself is a powerful tool. With vulnerability, you can connect with others on a deeper emotional level. Vulnerability can also propel you to move forward.

Ironic isn't it? It can potentially leave you dead inside, it can potentially ignite the spark to your inner fire.

I guess that's the only way to go deep, within the human soul.
